Biltmore® Chateau Reserve Collection: Louis XV Armoire
I was just reviewing some images from a recent photo shoot and thought I’d post one — this new picture of our Biltmore ® Louis XV Armoire. This stately piece is part of our licensed Biltmore® Chateau Reserve Collection of copyrighted furniture designs. With each piece, our design team has worked to reflect the hospitality and gracious living that defined the acclaimed Asheville, NC estate at the turn of the century.
This particular copyrighted furniture design takes its inspiration from the many pieces and architectural elements found throughout the estate’s lovely Louis XV Suite. Restored to its original splendor, this suite offers visitors the first opportunity to fully see the house as a family home and the Vanderbilts as parents. The Louis XV Room itself is perhaps the true heart of Biltmore. It served as birthplace of George and Edith Vanderbilt’s only daughter, Cornelia, in 1900. Years later, it was where Cornelia delivered her own two sons, George Henry Vanderbilt Cecil and William Amherst Vanderbilt Cecil in 1925 and 1928, respectively.
