Color Your World – 2014 Trend Watch

by Robert Williams, Vice President of Design  |

Master bath dressing roomHabersham prides itself on the custom options we provide to our designers and homeowners.  And that’s especially true when it comes to finishes where your choices are limited only by your imagination. You can choose from the wide spectrum of textures and tones found within our own signature finishes. Or, explore the  vast and versatile palettes of Benjamin Moore® and Sherwin-Williams®, which collectively encompass more than 4,400 different colors.

Speaking of color, I was interested to see a recap of the  Pantone ® View Home and Interiors Color Trend Forecast for 2014 as reported by the High Point Market Authority. Click here for the full story and the pdf document showcasing the nine palettes Pantone has outlined for 2014, including:

Techno Color:  “…a melding of both vibrant and deep hues frequently executed in reflective surface.”

Physicality: “…speaks to the colors of power and energy counter-balanced by the presence of the hues that express the necessity for introspection and calm…”

Sculpted Simplicity: “…colors that are unassuming and do not take center stage …sophisticated…distinctively nuanced….elegantly harmonized…”

Fluidity: “…understands the inevitable human need for life-sustaining cool water tones rendered largely in dazzling blues and blue-greens.”

Collage: “…a charming mélange of artfully constructed designs that demonstrate ingenuity and resourcefulness.  There is poignancy in this palette…”

Intimacy: “…tints and tones that are inviting in nature and softly tactile, closely connected, yet subtly different; a happy marriage of adaptable warm, cool and neutral tones.”

Moda: “…svelte and voluptuous…speaks of attention to detail and the drama of high fashion…Combinations can be theatrical in nature, displaying fashionable or whimsical flourishes, but…with tasteful finesse.”

Tribal Threads: “….as varied as the tribal diversity they represent…Color combinations may be disarmingly simple or as complex as inter-woven threads.”

Eccentricities: “…a sense of adventure, wit, experimentation and discovery…’tongue in cheek’…and highly original in color juxtaposition and cleverly conceived in evocative combinations…”

As part of the program, we’ve significantly expanded your choices!    Among the features you can select for these designs?  If you’d rather have solid doors, we can do that.  Prefer a different mullion design on a given piece?  We’ve 10 different options to choose from.  Looking for glass or mirror doors?  Choose from clear or seeded glass, mirror or antique mirror styles.  You can also select from two different base molding designs, three different crown molding options, and six different pilaster styles.   If the piece you’ve selected from the Standard Custom line-up has art on it, we can even custom-tailor that to reflect a color swatch you provide.  Tables in the group are available in three different size offerings.

The list goes on.  Contact us today to learn how our new Standard Custom program can bend to your design wishes!

Nassau Home Theater – Now With Antique Mirror Back

by Robert Williams, Vice President of Design  |
June 13th, 2013

Habersham American Treasures Nassau Home TheatreWe’ve added a new twist to one of our most popular designs!  Our American Treasures® Nassau Home Theatre is now available with an antique mirror back.

When we first launched the American Treasures® Nassau Home Theatre design in the Spring of 2012, the response was quite favorable. With this piece, like others in the  American Treasures collection, I worked to mix classic lines with modern influences to create what I like to call a   “livable modern” aesthetic.

Effectively bridging the gap between these two styles, this versatile design offers a wonderful entertainment option.   And the new antique mirror back adds visual interest and elegance.  Adding to its appeal, this design will hold most 46” plasma TVs.
