Todd English Food Hall at Plaza Hotel If you’re in New York, be sure to visit the Plaza Food Hall by Todd English.  Located in the lower level of the famed Plaza Hotel, this lovely space invites you to stroll and sample  countless delights in this European–inspired specialty food hall created in collaboration with acclaimed chef/restaurateur Todd English. While here,  you can also explore a true retail jewel — Town and Country Living.Town and Country Living Kitchen Display

Town and Country Living at Plaza HotelCreated by Tina Nyman and Denise Leventhal, this 1000-square-foot  delight  at the Concourse Level of the Plaza Hotel celebrates the art of entertaining with its lovely selection of tableware, china, crystal linens, flatware and one-of-a-home accessories and furnishings.  Providing the perfect backdrop  is  custom, hand-styled  cabinetry from Habersham, ranging from a stunning full kitchen to a stately library system.  Denise and Tina special in interior design as well as custom Habersham kitchens.Town and Country Living Features Habersham Custom Cabinetry

“We felt that Habersham’s versatile cabinetry could bring a  rich old world look that would blend seamlessly with the Plaza environment while showcasing our unique merchandise selection,”  explains Tina.  “Habersham is so versatile – it can work in a formal or casual setting.  Quite simply, it elevates everything.”

Town and Country Living Entrance at Plaza Hotel“We love what Habersham can do throughout an entire home and wanted to showcase their capabilities to clients walking into our store,” added Denise.  “Habersham can also conform to the Manhattan lifestyle. Take the Belmont Bookcase for example.  Apartments here have high ceilings, but not a lot of square footage.  So a piece like this can be 18” deep and 10” high –offering a grand display option that works in a smaller space.”

Town and Country Living represents the latest step in the women’s successful design/business partnership.  Before opening the new store, Tina operated a retail and interior design business in New Jersey for 15-plus years.   She and Denise, also a designer, worked together on countless design projects during this time.Town and Country Living Showcases Habersham Custom Cabinetry

They began looking for a way to move their business to the city and when the Plaza partnered with Todd English to create the new Food Hall ,they felt the timing and location were perfect.

“While we’re not in the food business, we are in the business of celebrating the home,” add Tina.”And that’s our focus here at Town and Country Living – focusing on lovely interiors and entertaining at home.”

It’s a store concept that’s certainly working.  Tina and Denise say they see clientele from all over the world who delight in the meticulous craftsmanship of Habersham’s cabinetry and the creative selection they’ve brought together.

Habersham Relocates High Point Showroom; Launches Corporate Training/Design Center

by Matt Eddy, CEO  |
August 23rd, 2012

High Point Market 2012In an effort to significantly enhance our dealer/designer training capabilities and high-end client service offerings, we have announced plans to convert our existing design studio near corporate headquarters in Toccoa, GA into a full-scale training/design center.  As part of the streamlined company focus, we are also  relocating our showroom in the Market Square building in High Point, NC – from our long-standing location on the main level, to space 191.  The new showroom will open during the Fall 2012 High Point Market.

In recent years we’ve invested in a number of factory and operational improvements that have dramatically expanded our custom furniture and cabinetry capabilities. As the trade and higher-end consumer audience for our custom offerings has grown, so too has demand for the detailed product training and high-touch customer service the custom segment requires. By consolidating and redirecting some of our resources, we’ll be able to build a destination training and design center that not only arms our dealer/ designer base with the tools and knowledge they need to effectively explain and sell the line, but  it will also provide a showplace to meet with VIP customers, as well as a  host of other programs we plan to develop.

Located just a few miles from the main Habersham factory, the design studio was originally built to house offices and studio space for the company’s artisan and design team.  The  factory expansions/improvements have since created space for the team to move into the main plant, opening up the opportunity to redesign and expand the design studio.  Plans call for a complete build-out of the space to showcase a variety of Habersham kitchen, master bath, master closet and other cabinetry designs, as well as a number of the line’s top-selling and prototype furniture styles.  In addition, the space will also include various meeting spaces outfitted with finish samples, training tools,  computers for demonstrating CAD and other renderings and more.

The company’s new High Point showroom will continue to be the launching pad for new furniture introductions and a showplace for some of the company’s latest custom cabinetry and furniture innovations.

The new High Point showroom will be more boutique in style. Showcasing all elements of Habersham’s capabilities, it will offer an enticing footprint for stand-alone retail or in-store boutiques.  Designers will find it easy to work and refreshingly creative.

We think there will be great synergy between the two spaces. The  High Point showroom will continue to offer a  broad overview of our latest designs and classic best-sellers while the new design and training center  invites our customers to go deeper — learning how to truly maximize the  sales potential  the line offers and, ultimately,  expand their business with us.  We’ve only scratched  the surface of the opportunities we think  the new training/design center will provide. Our sales representatives can bring their VIP trade customers here.  Our trade customers can bring their key clients here.  We’ll be able to develop and host individual  training programs custom-tailored to the specialized needs of our customers…the list goes on and on.

Luxury Leaders: Victoria + Albert and KWC

Victoria + Albert Tub with Habersham Atelier Display CabinetsDuring the recent Spring High Point Market, we had the wonderful opportunity to partner with two premier luxury market designers in the creation of the master bath suite for our showroom: Victoria + Albert and KWC.

Known for their exquisite collection of freestanding baths, Victoria + Albert provided this beautiful tub from its Toulouse Collection.  Joan Bostic, our Vice President of Sales, Kitchen and Bath explains, “Victoria + Albert was an easy choice for the Master Bath presentation for our Spring Furniture Market.  Victoria  + Albert’s design was the perfect choice for the elegance and grace we wanted to capture.  The shape and lines of the Toulouse Collection are reminiscent of the glamour of Hollywood from the 1940s.  The style is everlasting and the quality and uniqueness of how Victoria + Albert produces their tubs and fixtures is hands down, the best.”

KWC Faucets with Habersham Cabinetry

To complement and enhance the look, Joan chose KWC for the  faucets and tub fillers.  A leader in luxury faucets, KWC’s designs embody the traditional values of Swiss craftsmanship – both in function and aesthetic.

Hidden Conveniences: Integrated Refrigeration Cabinetry

by Matt Eddy, CEO  |
July 17th, 2012

Habersham integrated refrigeration cabinetryIf you’re looking for a way to create a less cluttered, cleaner kitchen, refrigeration cabinetry can be the perfect solution.

As detailed in the Wall Street Journal article, Kitchens Play Hide and Seek:

“For years, kitchen designers have been treating high-end appliances like trophies, making a stainless-steel-and-glass refrigerator or a range in a shiny color finish, into the room’s focal point. Now, more homeowners are veering in the opposite direction, hiding kitchen bling behind wood panels or underneath countertops. The resulting look—streamlined, uncluttered, often with LED lighting and a mix of stone and wood finishes—marks the next phase in the kitchen’s evolution from cooking-and-eating hub to flexible multitasking space.”

As we’ve continued to fine-tune and enhance our custom capabilities, we’ve also significantly expanded the integrated cabinetry options we can provide. Contact us today and let’s work together to create a kitchen that truly meets your lifestyle needs.
