The Dressing Room : The ‘It’ Space of Luxury Living

by Matt Eddy, CEO  |
August 23rd, 2015

Habersham Custom Dressing Room Cabinetry In the recent September 2016 issue of Traditional Home on newsstands now , the article “What’s In Your Closet “ written by Candace Ord Manroe and produced by Krissa Rossbund, outlines how today’s closet/dressing room has become the new “it” space of luxury living.

The article says, “Remember when the word closet could be lofted as a put-down to describe a pint-size room (as in, “That bedroom’s tiny as a closet”)?  In some circles, that insult now would be mystifying – the closet has become the new “it” space of luxury living.  That means bye-bye-small fry, and welcome, literally, to the next big thing.”

Here at Habersham, we’re continuing to see growing demand for dressing room cabinetry for spaces of all sizes.

Completely customized to meet the client’s space, style and wardrobe needs, designs include wide, deep drawers, plenty of shelving for shoes and accessories, hanging bars, mirrors, space for luggage, safes, hampers and more.

We also give clients the opportunity to choose from a vast palette of hand-styled finishes in rich colors, tones and textures to create  private, luxurious spaces.  To see some of our latest designs, be sure to explore our website’s cabinetry section.

by Matt Eddy, CEO  |
June 24th, 2015

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) recently released its Interior Design 2015/2016 Outlook and State of the Industry and the news is good! As outlined in the association’s press release:2015 ASID Industry Outlook

“The Interior Design 2015/16 Outlook and State of the Industry report, produced by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Research, forecasts continued positive growth for the interior design industry, with several indicators suggesting that design has fully recovered from the recession of 2008. The number of designers and design firms is near or ahead of 2007 figures, and the dollar value of sales and product specified is at record levels. Billings and inquiries are up with positive expectations into next year, and that translates into a hot job market as firms of all sizes and design specialties intend to hire new employees. “

These results reinforce many of the conversations we’re having with our own designer clients this year – as many are reporting steady business and reports of new projects coming in. So remember, we’re here to help!

As one of the most designer friendly lines in the marketplace, we can offer countless custom furniture and cabinetry options to help you with your next project. Whether you’re working on a new kitchen project or a whole home renovation, we’ve got versatile finish options, furniture and cabinetry styles to meet the specialized needs of your discriminating clientele.  To learn more about the report, visit

Happy Retirement andSpecial Thanks to Our New York Sales Representatives | Ira and Bonnie Epstein

by Matt Eddy, CEO  |
March 26th, 2015

Ira and Bonnie Epstein Retired Habersham Sales RepresentativesA little more than 23 years ago, I was covering sales for the state of New York since we didn’t have a representative for the area at the time.  During this period, New York retailer Apartment Living faxed over a picture of an armoire, inquiring about purchase options.  My wife Donna and I got on a plane and went to meet with the dealer, Neil Baser, and he agreed to put some of our product on the floor.

During our meeting, I asked Neil if he knew any good reps in New York and he immediately recommended Ira Epstein.  Shortly after returning home to Georgia, I got a call from Ira and he came down to our office the following Monday for orientation.  And so the story began.  I told Ira we wanted to expand brand awareness and  grow our business in the New York and Northern New Jersey areas.  Ira did just that!

Ira and his wife Bonnie retired from Habersham this year and we will miss them!  They are among   the most loyal and dedicated people   I know.  On behalf of all of us here at Habersham, we thank them for their years of service, for all they have done for our company, and wish them all the best  in the years to come.
